Speech Bee vendors with San Diego Regional Center to provide early intervention speech therapy services to children under 3. Our speech-language pathologists are experts in providing supportive and family-centered speech therapy services using a variety of approaches, including caregiver coaching, routines-based and play-based intervention.

At Speech Bee we encourage families and professionals to use a total communication approach. This means honoring all methods a child may use to communicate, whether through speech, gestures, or symbols. We specialize in AAC assessment, therapy, coaching, and consultation.

Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) is difficulty with planning and executing the motor movements necessary for speech. This rare disorder requires specialized treatment from an experienced speech-language pathologist. At Speech Bee, we use research-supported techniques to treat CAS while working with families to support overall communication development.

Our playgroups are led by a licensed speech-language pathologist who will help empower your child by building the following skills:

• self-advocacy

• autonomy

• improving relationships by understanding different communication styles

• building confidence in social situations

• safety & awareness in social situations

Coaching begins with a child and family-centered plan of care that targets your family’s unique challenges and goals. Our therapists can help your family:

• advocate for your child at home, school, and in the community

• access resources and form a supportive community

Speech Bee is a vendor for the California Voice Options program! Through the Voice Options grant, we can provide Californians with disabilities impacting speech access to alternative & augmentative communication (AAC) devices.

The Voice Options program is open to Californians of all ages and provides a free iPad and communication application of their choice.
