Our Services
-
Evaluation
We recommend all new clients receive an assessment of their speech/language abilities in order to determine strengths and identify goal areas for intervention. Your speech-language pathologist will first work with you and your child to identify strengths and challenges. Then together you will develop an individualized plan of care based on your family’s goals and objectives. We provide comprehensive evaluation in the following areas:
expressive and receptive language
speech sound disorders
gestalt language processing
AAC
assistive technology
motor speech disorders
social communication & self-advocacy skills
-
Speech & Language Therapy
We are experts in providing highly individualized, child- and family-led therapy tailored to your child’s unique strengths and interests. Our speech-language pathologists are specialists in the following areas:
expressive and receptive language
speech sound disorders
early language development
gestalt language processing & natural language acquisition
childhood apraxia of speech
AAC and assistive technology
social skills & self-advocacy support
Parent coaching and consultation are included with every session, as well as recommendations for home practice.
-
Caregiver Training & Consultation
Our speech-language pathologists are experts in family & caregiver coaching. Coaching services empower families by helping families to understand their child’s needs and support their development at home. Coaching begins with a child and family-centered plan of care that targets your family’s unique challenges and goals. Caregiver coaching can help your family:
learn strategies to help strengthen your child’s communication & social development
develop a neurodiversity-affirming perspective
feel more confident navigating your child’s AAC system and modeling language using their device
advocate for your child and support their communication at home, school, and in the community
access resources and connect with other caregivers to form a supportive community
-
Social Skills & Self-Advocacy Groups
Unlike traditional social skills training which uses compliance-based techniques and encourages children to mask their differences, our small social groups will help your child succeed socially while remaining authentically themself! Our playgroups are led by a licensed speech-language pathologist who will help empower your child by building the following skills:
self-advocacy
autonomy
improving relationships by understanding different communication styles
building confidence in social situations
safety & awareness in social situations
-
AAC Training & Consultation
Many children and adults may benefit from the use of an alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) system. AAC is any system that supplements or replaces speech as a form of communication.
We promote a “total communication approach” that values all methods of communication equally. Whether an individual uses speech, typing, gestures, signs, symbols, or a speech-generating device to communicate, all forms of communication are honored. A key component of this approach is communication partner training. We provide coaching and consultation to families, professionals, and schools to help them become effective communication partners and teachers for AAC users.

Professional Consultation & Training

We provide one-on-one consultation sessions as well as group training services for professionals wishing to learn more about specific areas of practice. Our CEO has previously presented to practices, schools, and universities on a range of topics including:
AAC and Aided Language Stimulation
AAC training for physical and occupational therapists
